OUR BACKSTORY

The Shore, the Shell, & the Summit

Barony takes its name from a family lineage established in the scallop covered shores of Normandy.

Generations ago, one of our ancestors stood before Mont Saint-Michel—a mountain rising from the sea, crowned with stone and story. It was said to be chosen by the Archangel Michael himself, a place of pilgrimage, wonder, and worship.

A fortress that no army could take.

He sought to extend the barony to that sacred ground. Though the hill eluded him, the vision it stirred endures.

Today, we don’t seek to possess greatness, but to draw it forth. Not to claim sacred places, but to create them. We see the mountain not as a prize, but as a symbol: a call to elevate the world around us.

We are builders, stewards, and restorers—investing in beauty, imagination, and places that welcome the world’s dreamers.

ITS OUR CALLING

To shape spaces and ventures that invite wonder. To steward beauty, story, and land for those called to dream and build well—for something greater than ourselves.
